Middleman Scam

User SpellSlinger (https://www.epicnpc.com/members/spellslinger.331959/ ) posed as a middleman offering 900€ for my account and stole it after the transfer was complete.

Was there any communication here on EpicNPC? Did you get any confirmation you were talking to the real Spellslinger ?

Also how did you send payment? Was it with PayPal? If so, can you please screenshot the email you sent payment to?

There was no communication here on EpicNPC, but the actual avatars are the same, and he failed to reply here after it happened. I was the seller of the account not the buyer. I gave him my FB info so he could download the data.

Without any evidence you're talking to the real Spellslinger, such as matching payment email or any confirmation PMs here on site, we have to assume you were chatting to an impersonator.

That is how impersonation scammers operate. They pretend to be someone with high reputation and fool people into making them think they're the person they're impersonating. That is why it is VERY IMPORTANT to get a confirmation PM from their profile here on EpicNPC to make sure you're talking to the right person.

Without any evidence, we can't investigate further. Having the same profile picture is not considered evidence.

Please contact customer support for your game and have your account recovered immediately.
