Max Threads on First Page Rule Updated

A new system was added today to automatically manage the number of threads member's are allowed to have on the first page for any forum. Until now the rule was a member can have up to 3 threads on page 1.

New rules:
Very active forums (24 hrs) = max threads is 3
Less active forums (10 days) = max threads is 4
In-active forums (more than 10 days) = max threads is 6

A new shop item has also been added that will allow members to purchase one "additional thread" in a single forum. This costs 200 credits. This is not a permanent increase, only a one-time increase.

Example:
UserA has 3 threads on page 1, can't make anymore threads
UserA purchases "Additional thread" item and posts a 4th thread
UserA can't purchase a 5th thread, user is blocked
Once the user is back down to 3 threads, they can then purchase a 4th thread if they wish

The settings for the max thread limits and price of the "Additional thread" item are subject to change over the next few days or weeks.

Update: The "additional thread" price has been lowered from 200 credits to 100 credits.

Decent change, much needed.

200 credits for a one time increase seems too much though. For 200 I can buy 8 bump evades, which will give a lot more exposure than a 1 time limit break. They should be the same price (25).

Would be better if we can get for 200 credits thread improvement per week / month:

more than 2 special characters in thread title
special thread row title like adding some short message under main title
or diffrent colour than ones we have now to stand out more

Too many special characters looks spammy, so that won't be added.
Too many different colors looks like a rainbow, I think 2 colors is enough. Thread row highlight can be used if you want to stand out more.
Extra row for an additional message is not a bad idea. I'll think about this.

Also the price for the additional thread is now 100 credits, not 200.

I dont really agree about the special char, it'll be very confusing for the buyer.

We should update forum rules aswell, where we have "Exceptions to the rule" maybe add the link to this topic or something.

I had multiple users reporting the 3 thread rule, understandable as prolly people arent already used to "Forum limits" specification on each page or havent read this topic.

Sending everyone a PM triggers an email also, so we don't really want to do that. Maybe we'll add a new on-site alert notification for all new threads in this forum.

I'll also update the official rules page today.

No, this has no affect on bumps, only creating new threads.

this is hard to do..

I ever report someone like this on epic7 subforum.. but since it's so popular and lots of people bump their thread, when the mod see my report, the user that I reported already on page 2

Yes those count.

Because seller's will mark threads as "sold" to bypass the rule if we allowed this exception. It was already happening before this system was added when we manually enforced this rule.

As seller I agree to delete my SOLD threads.
But it's impossible if somebody posted reply in my thread (for example "I'm interested", "Will buy" etc.)

Threads used for feedback or have replies from other members can't be deleted. This is to prevent scammers from hiding their scams. A victim might post in the sale thread or give feedback saying "I was scammed" so we don't want to seller to be able to delete the thread.
