Looking for an active MMO to play

Hello,

I have not been gaming for quite some time. Now I am looking for an MMO to play but since I have not watched any news related to the gaming world, I am pretty much disorientated.

Which game with a decent* playerbase besides World of Warcraft would you recommend me?

*It does not have to be incredibly huge but I would prefer to see players of all levels online at the most active playing hours.

I've been playing the new Darkfall: Unholy Wars, It's pretty grindy but super fun.

Neverwinter has recently went into OB. It's not very grind intensive, I got to max in around 30 hours of game time. The end game content(PvP and PvE) is team based, so I suggest you get some friends to play if you can. I have played most of the games you have and I found this game to be quite enjoyable.

I'd go with the new darkfall unholy wars. Me and a friend of mine have been playing a ton of it lately and loving it. The danger aspect of pvp is amazing, gets your blood pumping just walking around outside the safezones, which are very few of. You work with clans, who naturally will fight other clans for control over other points on the map that allow you to build a clan city.

There are a ton of other things in the game that you are able to do, there is a lot of content missing at the moment, but all of it will be added soon, the content in the game currently is more than enough to keep you busy for awhile though.

It's free-to-play and a lot of fun.

Neverwinter is a lot of fun too. Yeah Darkfall graphics are terrible.

Try out Dungeons and Dragons Neverwinter - i've got much fun there, but the difficult there isn't enough for myself.

Regular medieval themed game is GW2 and NWO both is pretty good.

FFXIV: ARR is actually a really fun, quality game... if you can actually login

Someone suggested it, but I also suggest Firefall. It's different from your average run-of-the-mill MMORPG games.

I heard from a friend that FFXIV doesnt have any kind of pvp sistem in yet? that is quite strange if so , i wonder how much it will survive with a sub active and without any kind of pvp/bg/arena etc sistem in place. Yes, FFXIV has pvp. Both 1v1 duels and a 4v4 and 8v8 arena system (don't quote me on that, but I know there is arena)

However I also have to say that your views are very dogmatic and you're obviously conditioned to think an MMO has to be exactly like WoW to be fun and/or successful. I honestly suggest you form your own opinion about a game by playing it yourself...

FFXIV is a FINAL FANTASY game. FF games are pve and story oriented. If you don't like the final fantasy genre, don't play it. It's that simple. If you go into FFXIV with the intent of focusing 100% on pvp you're going to be very disappointed.

Oh... and FFXIV: ARR has double the amount of endgame content of any launching MMO because it's built on all of the FFXIV 1.0 content

Aura Kingdom, a new anime mmorpg, i am playing it, the PVE is okay, there are many dungeons but i dont see raids yet, but PVP is only Arena for now, you grind dungeons for End game gears (recipe and mats) but its Aeria which means if you want to be good early you need to buy cash shop or take the long way GRIND GRIND !!!!! but you will get there after fail enchanting 30 to 50 times
