Locked out of google account?

I recently purchased an albion account that is linked to a google account. The seller says this account belongs to his friend.

Long story short, the account was locked out after changing the recovery emails/password/phone number due to different IP address.

Attempted to recover the account through googles recovery process, but the only recovery option was through an unknown number.

Seller also says he has never seen the phone number before.

What are my options?

Ask for a refund/partial refund or a new account maybe if you were locked out of google account and it’s a number that’s not yours it falls on the seller. Tbh the whole situation seems sus you got an account they say was their friends account and now you are locked out, well whoever owned the account should be able to get you back into it ask them to recover it and give back to you. If seller will not attempt to recover, issue some kind of refund, or give you equal account I would issue a scam report on this site. But that’s all just my advice do what you feel.

Gmail locks can only be unlocked using older recovery info. If the seller is saying the email belongs to his friend, then that recovery phone number belongs to the friend. If the friend is saying he doesn't recognize it, then the seller is lying. The account most likely does not belong to the friend or the account was sold many times previously. If the seller said he's OO or the friend is OO, then that's false advertising and a 100% refund must be issued.
