WoW...this guy apparently thought I was stupid...

I'm selling a BE pally for my friend, and this guy messages me and says he is interested in the account...

Anyways, I ask him to post on my thread, because that is how I verify their Markee Username and rep and so on. He tells me he left a post yesterday...I check my thread everyday and I remember talking to everyone that had posted on my thread...So I thought maybe I forgot who he was. So I said. Im sorry can you post again? I dont remember you. He kept saying he already posted.

So I asked him what his name was. He said ParagonX, which if you look at my thread, was the last post on my thread. Funny thing is, ParagonX is MY friend for whom I am selling this account for....he bumped my thread before he went to sleep...LOL. This guy was trying to impose the wrong Markee User...lol, sad loser.

So I played around with him a lil until he got pissed and said "F YOU! GO AWAY!"

Just a word of advice. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ask for people to post on your thread. Thanks.

what i do to verify that they own the TWV tag is that i get the user to check their email with random phrase a just sent and recite it. : )

To me TWV means NOTHING. Anyone can get a call and say "Yea I live here, ok yea ok, thanks."

That's basically what TWV asked me...great confirmation huh? Lol, granted it might cut down on some of the scammers but I can almost bet that a ton of scammers have TWV just for the $8 tag.

This is what I require when Buying/Selling accounts and such:

Account name
Password
FULL Name on Account
FULL Address on Account
OO Name
OO Address
OO LANDLINE Phone Number
Photo ID
Their IP

That is all the info I always ask from people. And EVERY LEGIT SELLER/BUYER has given this info to me. If they dont want to give the info, I say "Ok have a nice day." I do this to cover my butt, because I dont want to deal with scammers anymore. There are many more people that want to buy/sell. So just because the first person you ask doesnt give you this info, dont cave in, just move on.

to be the TWV tag just signifies that you are serious about business and it is good to know that your personal information is on file somewhere (things scammers would rather avoid)
