Totalitarianism is horrible.

funny, but I don't see how screwing the pizza company over for something someone else did is fair.

lol @ that kid

...l...m...f...a...OOOOOO HAHAHAAHAAHA FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN HAHA THIS KID GOT OWNEDDD

Just for everyone to know, identity theft is the crime of obtaining the personal or financial information of another person for the purpose of assuming that person's name to make transactions or purchases. I deal with this all the time at my work (licensed investment banker with SunTrust).

To clarify the pizza ordering scenario the only way an issue will arise is if Pizza Hut attempts to seek damages in a civil case for loss of product, and again they wouldn't do this unless the ordering had been excessive and gone unnoticed until the dollar amount of food waste added up.

I also managed a Papa John's when I was in college, and we had prank calls all the time, the order just gets Bad Ordered, and set on the heat rack for the drivers to eat. They become recognizable though, managers KNOW their delivery area, and web ordering won't even allow you to put in a "non-existing" address (which sucks for new development areas trying to web order), and any unknown address that is punched in the computer over the phone requires a manager override anyways. Food Delivery services all abide by an unspoken rule of the General Manager is responsible for all losses incurred at that location. They do not prosecute for these sorts of situations, they hold the manager responsible... but that's the closest they've gotten to identity theft, and it's not even technically identity theft since the party sending pizzas to the kids house isn't receiving any gain at all from it, aside from epic lulz.

The only thing the kid would have that'd have a chance at holding up in court is harassment (slander and libel both fall under harassment in civil court).

I've been scammed one time before, and it sucks. I think all scammers deserve this, and even worse. It's annoying, and a pain in the [censored] to get your lost goods back, or reimbursed for them.

Again... that kid isn't even as much of a scammer as half the people on this site. All he did was send the guy a fake pair of Nikes (there is TONS of fakes on Ebay) which probably only cost like $100 or less in the first place, the guy still received what he paid for. Just that they were fake knock-offs. Not saying it's excusable to sell fake items, but considering the circumstances I'd say he overreacted pretty hard
