Just received a 5 point infraction but I don't know why? Please help.

Hello there. I just signed up and tried to upgrade my account to member status but I was unable to do so as the phone verification system did not call my number. I got in touch with a moderator to ask for help, they gave me some advice but I had already gotten around the issue so I replied saying thanks basically. Then a few mins ago before I even do one thing on my account, I receive a 5 point infraction and am told that I am temporarily banned?

I am really confused here just hoping someone in the know can message me and let me know what's going on? It took me 20 mins straight to sign up due to issues with the phone verification...

Let me try and help you here, DE.

It seems the reason is due to you making multiple accounts, both this one, and another shortly prior to it.

Are you saying you received the infraction on this account? Also, what was the reason to creating two accounts? Just an issue along the way?

I believe in this sort of instance, generally one account is closed, and one is left open (Generally the one that has been verified or promoted to member status).

This is about all I can do for you with this information, but I'm sure a Super Mod or the admin will look into this for you.

It looks like you have another account, it's closed now and you can use this one. I've reversed the infraction.

Ok thank you for the info guys. I had no idea about the multiple account rule, though I should have figured tbh! Thanks for clearing that up.

Moderators don't have the permission to close/permament ban other members so they hand out a great infraction that leads to a temp ban so that a Super Mod later can close the newer account. if 3 have been made then a infraction will be handed out and that this person should stop creating more accounts, if a 4th account been made it will result in a permament for all this users accounts.
