I have my first trade fast approaching and its a doosey of an account on Eve which I'd hate to lose out on.

It's against the TOS of Ebay to post intangible goods. They've banned it awhile ago. So you basically voided any 'proof' right there.

Why the hell don't you just verify the person and his paypal (Request to speak with the owner *name* of the Paypal and record it) then just make him write Intangible goods on the subject line?

Stop trying all these dumb innovative ways to not get scammed because they don't work and they're way too much hassle. Just don't be an idiot, and you should be fine.

^^ Exactly, also ask the owner to send an e-mail from his/her PayPal account to make sure it's not stolen.

They can easily use email spoofers. Which is why you send an email to them and tell them to copy/paste what you said.
