This post is to help you understand what a scammer is and the potential harm the pose. (mainly applies to people new to arkeed)
Scammer: Someone who claims an intrest in your account and wants to by sell or trade and then if info is exhanged he steals your account using lies and deceipt.
Steps to identification of a scammer:
1) Does he have good feedback score? if so are they legit people or just phony's, research them.
2) Are they rushing you? Constantly egging you on to hurry up and trade or sell or buy?
3) Ask for a phone number and address then confirm area code with address and call phone number. (avaliable at verizon.com)
4) Look around on the forums for people who are reported as scammers not only by markeed but on the ratings.
5) Go with your gut instinct, if you feel a person is trying to scam you, just ignore him and say your not intrested.
6) Scammers of trades want your account info to "confirm your account" say you will provide pictures, because if you allow them to log on they will most likely change pw and steal account.
Well i hope this will help many of you identify scammers at a more efficient rate and reduce the number of them on this site, the more that are reduced the more trustworthy and respected markeed will look. If someone is scammed do your best to help them out.
