Alas there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I was scammed by this hunnyspice1975 selling a mage about a Month and a half ago. This was my very very first trade ever and realized that I was scammed /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif. The person made one big mistake though, they gave me an account name that did not exsist.

I quickly issued a claim with paypal not knowing that they do not cover intangible items. As I waited for a month thinking I was SOL, I found out today that they decided in my favor due to I provided all the printscreens and info...

Long story short guyz,
Fight the scammers you will win.


Now you must know that I did not receive my money back yet... they are contacting the seller to request the money and or they will issue a charge to their account for payment.

Did the other party even reply to the dispute, if they didnt thats why you won, and i can guarantee you if they are trying to get the funds back from the other party you most likely wont get them back because paypal wont be out any money if they didnt have to honor their seller protection policy, they will just put a negative balance on the other persons account,
ive won a few disputes for tangible goods ones that werent shipped to me, and didnt see a penny because i bought from people that didnt have the buyer protection status

LOL well, the scammer actually raised the dispute to a claim... so in term they screwed themselves... The seller provided shipping (ELECTRONIC ITEM, ELECTRONICALLY SHIPPED)

Yeah I might have not have received any money back yet, but the fact of the matter is I WON /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. After being scammed that feeling is almost all I need. Paypal worded it in such a way that basically says: "The seller does not have the funds in their account to issue a return, therefore we are requesting the seller provide the funds or we will take other measures to try and retrieve the money"

yeah its cool you won but ive won a few buyer dispute against sellers whos accounts they couldnt get the money back from and they gave me the same line about how they will fight to get me my money and lets see its was over [censored] them, im just giving you the truth dont count on getting that money, it costs paypal money to try and get the money out of them and paypal doesnt like spending money to get a buyer a refund they dont make any money off of
