Changing the email is the most important step when buying a Summoners War account.

Step 2: Changing the password

On the main account management screen, scroll all the way down and tap on the "Password Modification" link. It would take you to a screen where you can set a new password. You need to confirm the old one in order to change.

Step 3: Remove the secondary password

A secondary password is a sort of 2 factor authentication that Hive games use. It is an optional feature. If your seller does not use it and you don't wish to use it either, you can skip this step.

To access this option, tap on the "Security function settings" link that is right bellow the password modification option.

It will take you to a screen where you can change the existing password by knowing the old one. You can also disable this option by clicking on the "Cancel Service" button. Disabling requires email confirmation, so a link will be sent to the linked email which you need to click in order to disable this feature.

If the service was disabled, you'll instead be asked to set a secondary password and enable it. Enabling also requires email verification.

Step 4: Remove additional contact info

On the main account management screen, click on the gear icon in the top right, like you did when changing the email.
This time, scroll down until you find the options "Other email" and "Phone number". These are optional fields. If they are set, you can just delete them and click save to erase this info from the account.

These contacts could be use to recover the account, so make sure they are blank.

Step 5: Remove links to external accounts

The final step is to remove links to Google and Facebook.

On the main account management screen, just scroll a bit down and you'll see two options for Facebook and Google which could be toggled on or off. If either of them is enabled, make sure to turn them off to break these links.

Make sure that both of these are showing the gray button with a white line. If it's blue it means it's linked. Tap on it to unlink.

Done, you have successfully checked and secured a purchased Summoners War account!
