How can I get my money back from Paypal?

I recently bought gold, and as of now looks like im not going to be getting it.

How can I contact paypal and get the gold back?

Is mailing a letter the only way?

Where did you buy the gold from? If it was one of the major chinese sites then you can get it refunded instantly. The other way to to file a claim in resolution center but you will most likly not get your money back through that.

Reporting a creditcard claim stating you never recieved the item is the best way. Do not report a paypal claim if you are going to do this. But this only works if the money came from creditcard and not paypal.
