Guide to Buying and Selling?

Was Just wondering if there's a full blown guide to buying and selling (preferably through Paypal). Like EG ok you have an account to sell so go to your paypal account then click this and that and etc, then same for the buyers. Because I'm not entirely sure how you go about buying and selling something on here, most of what I gathered is you want to use paypal and do it as a gift. I could ask whoever I buy/sell from but they could mislead me, I'd greatly appreciate any advice, thanks in advance
