Hmmm, may be you're right, I remember on my main, I paced support near to my dps, probbably was role q beta and I don't remember any feedback from devs, that they changed anything, I will do placements by myself in couple of days tho, hope to find some time for that. Then I update. Pretty sure it works like I described.

And I hard throw on tanks, we were trolling with friend who have no idea how to tank either.
So you might be wrong. MMR should be saved from s17, considering there was no role based sr at all, where should they get it from?
The only problem could be that recent patches says that we have decay down to 3900 from any higher rank each season. But mmr still will match you up with your actual skill bracket, determined by your mmr, which is still there. Also if you loose 5 in a row, like I did on tank role - you will place lower, but also you can do the same on placed account, because there would be post-placements boost/deboost around 10 games. But I can not see any problem in that, if you buy GM smurf, you probbably know what you're doing in GM already, otherwise you buy boost.

 

Caution* I want to reiterate that blizzard changed the placement on how role queue works after the beta after feedback from players.
Now, you only get highest role based on the most hours you played and will start fresh placements from platinum on other roles.

Therefore any accounts which has not been placed in the role queue beta (and after the role queue beta ended) will only have their primary role in their actual elo and have a complete sr reset in other roles which will give you high sr gain losses and treats it like a new account..
The seller may not be aware of this or buyers please make sure you inquire about this. good luck.
