What is the dispute about?
Seller, 1Monkeyking1, states they were the original owner of the account. Turns out they were not. Got in contact with the actual ORIGINIAL owner who said they were hacked and have been trying to recover the account back for months. Returned the account to the original owner. Because of this I am filing a dispute against 1Monkeyking1. I've tried DMing him on EpicNPC but he has not responded despite it saying he is online so I am escalating this to a dispute.
On 08/29/22, I purchased a Genshin Impact account from the seller, 1Monkeyking1. We exchanged messages on EpicNPC messaging and we came to an agreement. I sent him $110 via Paypal FnF and he sent me the account. After purchasing the account and logging onto it, I noticed some strange things such as all of the messages in the game's inbox being in Spanish. The thread that I purchased the account from (https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/new...chon-all-adepti-account.2296498/#post-8558052) listed that the seller was the original owner. I messaged him after the purchase of the account to confirm if he is in fact the original owner and he replied with yes. Cool, everything is fine and dandy. Fast forward to today, 09/17/22, I received a friend request in game (Genshin Impact) from a random person (Restroc17) which I accepted. Having lingering thoughts that this account is not actually the seller's account since my initial purchase, I asked this person if they were friends with the original owner. They replied with yes and that it was their sisters account (the actual ORIGINAL owner) that got hacked. I asked the 'friend' to send me their (sister) discord so we can discuss and verify if it was actually their account. Proof of screenshots will be provided below.
The brother (Restroc17) sent me a discord invite to a group with him and the original owner (NamixX). So it was just us three in the discord. We discussed and the original owner was able to verify that it was indeed their actual account and it was hacked a few months ago. For those that do not know, the ORIGINAL owner of the account can recall the Genshin Impact account if they have the right information. The original owner (NamixX) stated that they tried to recall the account four times with little success. It was only a matter of time before the account actually got recalled (I have read up on people who finally got their accounts back after multiple attempts). I returned the account to the original owner because I knew how messed up it was getting their account hacked.
I am not sure if I am even eligible to get a refund since I returned the account back to the original owner but yeah. Ultimately, 1Monkeyking1 sold me this account knowing that he was not the original and that there was a very possible chance it could've been recalled back by the actual original owner.
