Hi,

I just placed my account on sale here, and I was shocked to get an immediate response from someone on aim. Same as other posts are saying, the payment was very quick and efficient, however, the next day the item was disputed. I have already given the CD keys and passwords over to the scammer, and have no way of retrieving the account. I'm sure by now all the gold and items are also gone as well. But I still have an open dispute on the matter with paypal.

The scammer said that the credit card was used without permission and is looking for the money back, I responded to paypal by saying that this was an intangible item (now I realize that that was a bad idea), and I cannot give a refund because the item is irreversible due to its nature, and that it no longer is of any value to me. I'm still waiting for a response from paypal and the scammer.

My question for you guys is that if you have any suggestions for me as far as how I can secure the money I received, and if there is any other action I can take, or say anything else to paypal that will allow me to keep the money. If you guys know of anything please let me know.

Also, if all else fails, do you guys know if its possible to somehow report to blizzard of the account (I no longer play the game so what they do won't affecet me) so that way at least he won't have the account anymore, or you guys think he's already removed all the gold and valuables and it's too late for that. Please let me know.

It's really disappointing that someone would do this considering that I was hoping to pay for books for next semester of college, and now I have to find another method of getting the money (my stupidity is at fault here). Thanks for any help!

I have just received a response from the scammer, and he's still saying that it was an "unauthorized" purchase, and paypal has given me three options to either provide a full refund, give a tracking number of the item I have shipped and the address I shipped it to, and lastly that I have already given a refund and I can give proof of it. I have no idea what to do here because it doesn't even allow me to choose an option for intangible items anymore. Any suggestions?
