Forum Rules Update - Prohibited Materials

The Prohibited Materials list has been updated and split into 3 sections to make it easer for people to read.

• Video Game Related Prohibited List
• Software and Subscriptions Prohibited List
• Other Prohibited Items

The biggest change is to cloud and subscription services (non-gaming), like Adobe, Netflix, Disney +, Spotify, Hulu and the many others. I highlighted the two main points.

Seller will have 10 days to update their threads. After that mods will start removing threads and issuing warnings for sellers that didn't link to proof of region pricing.

• Subscription services and cloud software sales (Netflix, Spotify, Adobe, Bitdefender, etc.) are only allowed if there service offers region pricing for different countries. For example $50 for US customers, but $30 for Brazil.
  • Sellers must provide proof in their sale threads that the service has region pricing. They can link to a region price list or to the page that allows the customer to change region to view the different prices.

Video Game Related Prohibited List

• Services that required a credit card to be used in-game are only allowed by Verified members. (Example: Buying something from an in-game store)
• No Drop or Lag hacks or any other program that attack a player's computer or network connection.
• No banning services to attempt to ban other people's accounts.
• No account name change services allowed. This refers to the real name on the account, not character username.
  • Sellers are not allowed to offer this on their own websites or other sites.
• No account generators.
• No Steam bot-ready account sales. These are Steam accounts that are new and trading enabled, with the primary purpose of being used as a Steam trading bot.

Software and Subscriptions Prohibited List

• We do not allow buying, trading, or selling of any Windows licenses.
• No Twitch Bit Services.
• Subscription services and cloud software sales (Netflix, Spotify, Adobe, Bitdefender, etc.) are only allowed if there service offers region pricing for different countries. For example $50 for US customers, but $30 for Brazil.

• No Grammarly services
• No hosting accounts sales (AWS, Digital Ocean, Azure, etc.)

Other Prohibited Items

• Personal information such as a full name, phone number, address, etc. is not allowed to be posted.
• No credit card sharing including virtual cards.
• Prepaid credit cards are not allowed to be posted for sale.
• No betting accounts (Fanduel, Draft Kings, etc.)
• No ad networks (Adsense, infolinks, etc.)
• No payment accounts (Paypal, Skrill, Venmo, Payoneer, etc.)

It has to be public. A seller could enter any info they wanted, even if false, and no one would know. If the thread is never reported, a mod would most likely not review it and so the seller would be able to get around this rule.

In-game purchases are not subscriptions, but they sometimes offer region pricing and sometimes not. Does this apply to in-game purchases ?

No, mobile games are not included in this rule.

Also an edge case : Discord nitro gifting is a subscription service that doesn't require to login into people's account, but it doesn't offer region pricing. Will this become a prohibited material ?

Nitro does have region prices. So Discord Nitro is included in this rule.

If gifts do not have region pricing, then how is a seller getting discounts?

If you see sellers offering cheap Discord Nitro gifts, those threads can be reported and we'll investigate the seller's method.

I was more talking about PC games that have sections on EpicNPC. For example Smite Gems currency https://www.epicnpc.com/forums/smite-accounts.172/ . There is a region pricing for this service. Should this follow the new rule ?

That's very similar to mobile games, so it wouldn't be included in the rule.
