Well it seems since MD was moved to MMOBay someone decided to clone me and is scamming people left and right.

From the chat logs the person is foreign most likely the same Chinese scammer that tricked some suppliers in our QQ network. This person is smart and uses many tricks to include email address spoofing.

VERIFY who you are speaking with.

Have them post in MMOBay (If they can’t it is NOT ME!)
Have them speak on our sites Live Support (All employee’s have accounts to Live Support. If they are an employee they should be able to login and conduct business there!)

FSF MSN is: [email protected]
FSF AIM is: ForSakenFarmers
FSF Email is: [email protected]
FSF CS MSN: [email protected] (DOES NOT EMAIL!)

We have 24Hr Live Support and my staff can check if I am online 24Hrs a day. All you need to do is just go to www.forsaken-farmers.com click on the Live Support picture and ask to speak with Chad.

They will check if I am on my Business or Personal MSN/AIM accounts and if I am, they will tell me a client wants to speak with me. You can even give them your AIM or MSN name and I can add you to my AIM or MSN and speak with you. If I am offline and you are speaking to someone, then it is NOT me!

There is NO REASON anyone should be scammed by people spoofing Forsaken-Farmers employees or myself. We are available 24 Hours a day from our website and ONLY conduct business through our website.

Thanks and Sorry to hear you’ve been scammed.

Thanks for warning the community.

To add onto this - I recommend that anyone who receives e-mail contact from users who do a large amount of business on MMOBay to do a "Header" or "View Source" check directly from their e-mail. You only need to right click the e-mail and click the correct option.

You may find that you are being hit with a spoof. Also ALWAYS have them post or PM via this site. You cannot verify who you are talking to unless they can confirm via this site - And the chances that they have lost access to these forums is slim to none with the security measures they put up.

Do NOT accept excuses.

If they claim they cannot log in for any reason; be patient and tell them you will wait until they gain access to the forums and can PM you.

2 More people have been hit by this scammer over the weekend. I keep getting emails from people asking to be paid or to verify it's me.

Do a simple test like one person did. SEND AN EMAIL TO MY [email protected] WITH A RANDOM WORD.

ASK THE PERSON WHAT THE WORD WAS YOU JUST SEND!

Since they do no have access to my email, they can not guess what the password is. :P

Just a quick suggestion, would it be possible for a mod to link a sticky to this post in the main forums?

I'm sure not everyone comes down here to read these sections, and for someone that does as much trades as FF it could be useful for letting the community at large learn about this and to protect themself.

Hope you get this sorted soon, FF has a good reputation, hate to see it being affected.

Thanks guys. I'm actually working with Microsoft right now as some how this persons email address is linked to our "Bing Searches". If you search anything with Forsaken Farmers it shows up as the contact info. :(
