I was interested in purchasing an Early Supporter Discord Account. I enquired on a specific thread, leaving my discord in the replies for the seller to add me. Promptly, I was added by two accounts. One account titled "EpicNPC" and a second titled "Counterparting"
I sent a message to the account posing to be an "EpicNPC admin" they told me that the reason that they added me was because of a 'well known scammer' and they wanted to let me know as a precaution. i was confused as this was very much random and the account which claimed to be an 'admin' wasn't even in the official discord, strange..
Although peculiar, I took no notice to it. I messaged the second account which had added me at this time, "Counterparting". This user told me he was selling an Early Supporter account and had seen my discord in a thread and had just thought to have added me. I discussed pricing with this particular user. I asked for proof of original email which he did show me. When I enquired about using a middleman, preferably trade guardian he stated that it would not be possible as they do not accept crypto. I found this alarming as they explicitly state on the website that if you go through a personal middleman that it is the choice of the sellers payment method, meaning crypto was accepted. He then began making excuses saying he got scammed prior using trade guardian. I still insisted on using it.
This is when things began making sense..
He told me he had a 'offical epicnpc admin added' and that the admin had told him that they only accept escrow. I asked him which admin this was and to no suprise, it was the account I had just previously been added by.
Essentially, he owns both accounts. Pretending to first be an epic npc admin that is just 'warning you of a scammer' he then goes on his main account to talk to the victims and persuade them into using the 'offical' admin that they had just been added by as a middleman.
