I would think the best moderators are the ones who are active and are interactive with the community. Being able to respond to the general public needs in a timely fashion. Fair and concise action/reaction process to potential scams, disputes, and general help. Should be able to respect the position as a honor, not a seat of power from which you crack the whip. A moderator in the truest sense is apart of the community they love, and desire to make it better for all.

No, I honestly feel that is what makes a good moderator. Its what I like to see from mods as a member of a community.
