I purchased a "pre-farmed" account for $125. It was banned for "unauthorized activity" after only 9 days of legitimate play.
When I requested a refund, the seller:
- Admitted to selling defective stock: He stated in writing that "90% of all accounts" in the market are currently being banned. He sold me this account knowing it had a near-certain failure rate without disclosing that critical risk.
- Admitted to bad faith: He explicitly compared this transaction to selling a car with a known failing engine, stating: "If i was selling you a car and told you 'Hey this cars engine have been failing' and you choose to still buy then you assume the risk".
- Misrepresented the risk: He claims he "warned" me, but a general warning about bans is significantly different from selling an item he describes as having a 90% failure rate.
I paid for a permanent account, not a 9-day rental of a flagged account. The seller knowingly sold a product that was "dead on arrival" due to his own farming methods.
My primary goal is a full refund of $125. However, since Trade Guardian (TG+) was not used, I understand a refund cannot be enforced by the staff. Therefore, I request that this seller be formally investigated for fraudulent behavior and misleading members by knowingly selling defective, high-risk accounts.
