"Debt" Negative Balance in Paypal.

I was scammed by paypal once i gave him info, a few hours later paypal recalled money "Stolen Paypal Account"

Then i got a negative balance (Already spent the money)

Now I'm being called by I.C Systems saying i ow them 187.00$ Paypal then closed my account.

Do i really have to pay this? I'm worried about this going on my credit.

200$ Is kinda allot for me. I just need some answers and links for more info on this.

this happened to be , year or so ago they called me saying i owed them $300 something, b/c of a scam : /

If you put your SS number in their they could ruin your credit.

If they only have your address and phone and bank, just tell the debt collector that you will deal with it your own way. They will probably stop calling, and just don't do anything. They don't care much about $187 because the debt collectors only get like 30% or something.

This isn't very good advice, some employers will check your credit report before they consider hiring you.

Obviously it was a joke. And paypal can't touch your credit without having your SSN. If he doesn't have a job and cant afford to pay them back i'd bet my last dollar he doesn't have a clue to what his SSN even is. Prob doesn't know the group of the 2 numbers. Assuming ofcourse that he gave paypal a prepaid credit card.
