Hello fellow traders.

I'm posting in scammers section of proven scammers, as I, 31th of January, busted a person in scam attempt.

I was browsing mmobay a while ago, and I saw a thread about an account containing a Scarab Lord Warrior with over 11k achievements. It brought my attention, so I checked it out.

It looked pretty solid, very nice account. So I added this guy on MSN for a chit-chat about the character and price.

A couple of days later, the guy, Criteh, logs on MSN and contacts me. We talk abit about the character, and he sets to price to 200 euros. At that very moment I knew this guy was a scammer, and I kept talking to him with the intentions of busting him.
So I ask him a couple of personal questions; where he obtained scarab lord, what guild he did it in and stuff like that. It was very clear that he just all sorts of things up, and he had a hard time explaning himself.
So i get an armory link to the character, Tilmandra, an 85 warrior on Scarshield Legion. I chose to search for the name on YouTube, and I find a video of the character Tilmandra, showing off mounts and titles. The guy that created the video has a very clean grammar, whilst Criteh, the scammer, has a very hard time explaining himself and spelling things. Obviously not the same guy.

Meanwhile, Criteh wants me to be sure he is the original owner, so he comes up with a very strange way of confirming that: He sends me a picture of his ID-scan on my mail. I find it very weird, and I check it out. Turns out his name is Adrian (or so is the name on the ID registered). He also sends me a picture of an account page, which is very clearly edited with photoshop or paint.

After this, I create a character on Scarshield Legion. I add "Tilmandra" to my friendlist, and wait for him to log on. Meanwhile, I whisper a member of his guild, and ask if Adrian is online on an alt. The person responds with a "Who is adrian?".
When i ask him if Tilmandra is online then, he tells me "Oh, you mean Kim. Hes not online atm"

I thank the guy, and go AFK. A bit later, Tilmandra has logged on WoW, and I ask him if this is Criteh. I have a long chat with the guy, and he is definitely not Criteh, nor his brother or friend as Criteh claimed on MSN. I chat with him for a while, (very, very nice guy actually) and he tells me that he will contact criteh and try to purchase his own account. I have no idea how that went, but I will check it out later.

So i confront Criteh with screenshots of my conversation with the guy in Tilmandra's guild, and the video on YouTube. He tells me that it's his brother that made the video, and that his brother is playing the warrior. I then tell him that it's not his brother, nor his friend, and he responds "Yes, its my brother. I will just call him, brb" and logs off of MSN.

I haven't seen him online since.

I would like all of you to take a distance to this filth, I only continued the conversation with Criteh/Adrian to bust him and make this thread. I have talked to Tilmandra, and anyone interested or in doubt can go ask him about mine and his conversation.
I will post all screenshots when I get home, including the mail I got from Criteh with his ID, and I'll link to the YouTube video so you can see the difference in the grammar.

This should be moved to Scam Busters, since no scam actually took place.

CAUTION! Mods be very careful if you click on those links...I clicked on one and of all a sudden I got a message saying it detected viruses on my compter. I hit the X in the upper-right corner and it started "scanning" my computer so I quickly closed out of it. Currently running McAfree to see if it detects anything.

P.S. This is a different computer then the one I thought I had a virus on earlier, I barely use this computer and only use it for the basics like worldofwarcraf.com, youtube, this, etc so it should be clean..

I clicked on the link again (lol) and it seemed okay so...not sure what happened there. I clicked on the second link in the "conversation" list both times. Very weird.

Just an update my computer found no viruses, must've just been acting up or something... On a side note, posting people's ID's here is not allowed.

As mentioned, feel free to delete the link to his ID if you find it necessary.

Also, there are no vira on those links i can assure you :b sounds kind of weird all that.

And now ikcatal is the same guy, busted him good.

Has added me negative feedback now for busting his sad serbian arse, would appreciate if that could be removed thanks. IP ban him for crying out loud, hes trying to scam the same way every single time, and every time hes getting busted. Make it end, cba doing this anymore.

MMO-Warp

Banned scammer. 2 different websites. Same usernames MMO-Warp and Allera? Also Allera never left feedback on either transaction which is another red flag. I'm no mathematician, but the chances of this many coincidences are probably 1 in a billion.
