Chat Updates - Part 1

There will be two parts to this update. The second part will be released sometime next week.

Part 1 - These are live

• Mobile App only - Clicking the "Chat" tab will now open your chat list instead of the last active chat.
• Mobile only - On the left side is a new "Home" floating icon that will take you back to the homepage.
• Clicking an image in chat, then using the back button will no longer take you to the previous page. The back button will now close the image instead.
• Chat tool bar has been removed.
  • A new attach image button has been added.
  • BB code can still be used.
• If a member is banned, the chat will be removed from your list.
  • If the user is unbanned, the chat will reappear.

Part 2 - Next week

• Emojis button will be added to the reply box so members can reply with emojis.
• Chat sidebar integration
  • The mail icon from the toolbar will be removed
  • A new tab will be added to the sidebar to display your inboxes and alerts.

We have other chat updates still planned, some requested by members, but those not listed did not make it into this update. We'll try to get the remaining chat items into one more update before the end of the year.

Perhaps think this one over again.
This is one of the easiest ways to know if any user you had trades with is banned. And my guess is people would want to know this.
For example, i bought account from someone and trade was done via epicnpc chat. That chat is now in my history. As soon as that user is banned, for any reason, his name is crossed off in my chat, and i will notice that, which is important. I would want to know if a person i bought/sold account from, or had any deals with, is banned. I would never know if that user is banned, unless i have seen his name crossed out in my inbox.
This has happened many times thru the years.

I agree, I would like banned chat member conversations to remain so I can know who is banned and collect evidence if I need to file chargebacks or access game recovery information that may be in these banned chat messages.

Thank you for the suggestion. The goal for this feature was to remove chats from repeat scammers, those who make a new accounts everyday.

We can make an update and setup some criteria to remove only certain types of chats from these types of scammers. This way not all chats will be removed if a member is banned. It will be included in part 2 of the update next week.

Only posts from scammers are removed. We do not want anyone contacting them.

That is not what I'm talking about. It's the names on any post, you can't see names anymore and who's bought accounts... It's important info and good to share and judge how trusty sellers/buyers are. Why remove this????
