Good Day,
Almost 10 months ago now I bought an account consisting of a level 70 Druid and Warlock from a gentleman here. I paid, he got his money, I got the username and password - all was fine. From that date until today he did not contact me in any way, shape or form despite the fact he could of reached me if he had any questions etc.
Yesterday at around 19:00 I noticed the this account - which was linked to my battle.net login - had disappeared from the account selection screen. This set off alarm bells of course but I checked and none of my chars were missing as they'd been moved to another account so I thought... weird - but he can have that account back... but of course I expected chars to leave...
3 or 4 hours later I login and yep - you guessed it - my lock and druid had gone from my account. Now, the druid I didn't care about - didn't play him much - the lock I was a bit more pissed about - as well as being kind of my main, he had 3 stacks of ebonweave, 2 stacks of moonshroud and 3 stacks of spellweave I'd been selling on the AH....
Now, the questions:
1) This happened 9 to 10 months ago. I have the gentleman's telephone #, his mother's telephone # etc - should I make a nuisance of myself and pursue him a bit? It's been a long time, but as far as I'm concerned he should still give me my money back.
2) Has it ever happened to anyone else where chars have been split off your account - yet you've not been hit with the banhammer? - I've been expecting a ban - it's not come.... Do you think it still will or will Blizzard likely guess that the guy sold this account and not penalise me for it?
Any suggestions to avoid this sort of thing? I guess once you buy you're always at the mercy of the seller?
Mr. Paul D - if you read this, I hope you're happy with yourself for this - karma will come around.
Cheers for any advice,
Delirious
