cannot receive inbox messages

Hello! I am having a glitch that i cannot get any messages via inbox making it hard to trade. I had someone send me a couple messages and i have not received them. I just get the message "[h=3]Inbox contains 0 messages. You have 3 messages stored, of a total 10 allowed."[/h]
Can i have some help please?

Have you deleted any of your sent messages or received messages?

I have never deleted any messages, and i have only ever send three.
