Basically, this guy wanted to trade his toon in for a PL. He told me he met all my requirements and then ended up lying to me about everything. No need to ban this guy since he already has a neg and I'm sure no one stupid enough would trade with this guy.

1. He told me he was the OO and he wasnt.
2. Told me he was using his "son's" email.....right...
3. TW Post shows he is in IA when the address he gave me was DC
4. Gave me a cell phone when I asked for a landline

Attempted scam IMO....lol, yes lets try to scam a repped member on MD when I have been trading accounts for a living and think I'm stupid enough to fall for this.

I think this thread is more suitable in the scam buster forum. He never scammed you but you figured out he was lying.

I would have to disagree....

Last time something like this happened I posted it in the scammer section and again a mod moved it to here. The guy I posted about ended up scamming about 3-4 people BECAUSE people never saw his name in the scammer thread section.

Yeah, I have to agree with Alexandra.

There are more guides and stickies than I can count that warn people to search for people's information on MD and on Google, had those people that scammed did some background checking on the people they where doing business with they would have seen your thread and not got ripped off.

People have to take responsibility for who they choose to do business with online, and read the guides and stickies about safe buying, selling, or trading and follow the advice given if they don't want to get scammed.

First off i never scammed nor was i trying to

used my sons email
and i jsut recently moved to DC for business

this person wouldnt take time to listen to my reasons i had a different email and address, she just jumped to the conclusion i was scamming. to me there is no point in having a land line when family has cell phones, many people dont own a land line now-a-days.

we didnt even trade or anything
the negative feedback she left was very unproffesional

please close or remove this thread because there is no proof i scammed, which i didnt. She just jumped to the conclusion.

So, no, I didn't jump to any conclusions. I CAME to the conclusion that you were lying to me, and you were.

Also, the address on the account was in DC and now you are saying you moved there for business?? Yet in the chat logs you admitted to not being the OO? You are just full of lies.

When you inaccurately describe an item you have for sale as being something it isn't it make you a liar and if you accept money for something that isn't what you claimed it was it makes you a thief.

What you did was no different in telling someone your Volkswagen with a body kit is a classic Ferrari... and according to the rules of the TW rating system (atleast as I understand them) your negative is very warranted.

So in summary the person misrepresented the item they where selling by lying about being the Original Owner, and by definition they are a scammer, even though they said:
