Quick Discalimer:
I am not outing the original seller as I do not have proof that he/she is responsible and I'm not even sure how this happened or who might've done it. This post is merely something to inform other buyers about a potential scam/shady account. If you come across someone who is selling an account with the ign Setsuna#5857 with the UID: 11982231, stay away. This is also the Tl;dr, further down is really just assumptions and what happened

So what happened?
I bought an account (or traded) and everything went fine and all. on the 12th of March. However once the Magallan banner came around, things got weird. When I logged in, my own binded yostar account was removed (without getting a verification code) and the account had been used. Orundum and Originium were used, stamina and stamina pots were used, basically someone went onto the account, rolled the banner and did some farming that wasn't me. How I got in, I don't know, I'm assuming because the person didn't bind the account to anything yet and the profile data was still on my phone, I could still access it. I binded it back to my yostar email and continued.

I contacted the person who sold the account and they claimed it wasn't them. They even co operated with me when I contacted support. However, since it wasn't my original account, and trading is against ToS, I could only get so far with the support team.

Fast forward to today, I tried to log in, said verification failed and there it goes. The binded yostar account lead to creating a new account. So the account is either in someone else's hands or the account is lost in limbo.

My assumptions on what happened
So what I'm assuming happened was simply, someone contacted support to get their account back and support allowed it, since the seller was the original owner of the account. Now this kinda implies that the seller is the one responsible as he/she is
the original owner. Well, to be honest, I think so too but I don't have proof and well, whats done is done. I can't be bothered anymore.

But you said the original owner/seller co operated with you? Yes I did, but he/she didn't give me the correct details. Support asked for the earliest receipt. Since the seller is also the original owner, he/she should be able to provide it right? Well, he/she didn't. Instead, they provided a receipt but it wasn't the earliest one. That was where my adventure with yostar support ended lol

I assumed this happened because it happened to me (lol) with Girl's frontline. Original owner contacted support to get their account back, support allowed it because they were the original owner. That's a different story though, it was a happy ending though, as they allowed me to become the new owner. Not so much with Arknights.

Be it my fault, the sellers fault, some 3rd party's fault, yostar's fault, I don't know whose fault it is. Just know there's a shady account out in the wild now (or in limbo lol)

Just file a report in the dispute forum if the user is from EpicNPC so that you can get a refund (as long as you have sceeenshots as proof). If not, then you’re outta luck. If the user is not from here and you wanna be petty just report the UID of that account to get it banned lol. Yostar seems to be strict with RMT if caught.

Thanks for the insight. Unfortunately the transaction wasn't with money but another account. I don't really care about that though, just an account for a game I no longer play. And the user is from here, I saw his/her post, but like I said in my main post, I don't know 100% if it was him/her and I can't prove if it was anyways.

It might seem petty but I'll probably do what you mentioned in the latter part. Be it the original owner or not, I don't want that account to be used to continue to scam people

It would be wise never the less to open a dispute against the member especially if they are from our platform, as it would be interesting for us to know who they are so that we can investigate the case and probably prevent other people from being scammed or victim or a account callback. Just to make an input as a Moderator of this site and what I think about this issue.

Yet, I am truly sorry that your account got called back.

I would definitely like to file a dispute purely because if he/she really is a scammer, I don't want more victims like you stated. However, he/she deleted his/her post so I don't know their username on here

This was his/her post:
It now leads to an error. This person's discord is still seems to be active though

@DefaultAsianGuy I have undeleted their thread. Their name on here is @Aethyrr on our website.

Feel free to file a dispute now, I would especially consider it after the fact they deleted the thread, and therefore tried to go more or less undercover by trying to wipe off their trails.
