I just got done with a horrible week dealing with them over a gold order gone wrong.

First off Playerauctions requires you to scan your license front and back and send it in to them. They want you to do this without blocking out your SSN (if it's on your ID) and without blocking out your DOB/License #/etc etc. They basically want you to give them the information they need to steal your WoW account from you (all the info Blizzard requests to prove your identity)

They request this scan of your license AFTER they take your money and get your phone #. They do not offer an easy refund if you disagree with this requirement. They only give you an email address that nobody ever replies to for contact. They have no phone number and the "live chat" is just a bunch of people who don't speak english copying/pasting from a text file based on keywords in your messages.

After fighting with them I gave in and sent them a 'modified' version of my license. I moved numbers around to make sure they didn't have my real info. They accepted this and approved my payment to the seller.

The seller decided to tell me that they didn't have the gold in stock and it would take 2 days to farm it. Of course before ordering they said instant delivery and it was in stock. They gave some story about how their main account was banned.

With about 12 hours left on the deadline they said only 1000 was available and they would give me an extra amount of gold and a free tour of china for my patience. Shortly after they claimed that the gold was delivered and blocked me from MSN.

Playerauctions allowed me to dispute their claim but all they were asking from the seller was a screenshot or video of the gold being traded. That's it. All the seller had to do was go to a different server, create a toon with my name, and do a trade and bam it's enough proof to side with the seller. If the toon I used was a high level they just need to do a name change. Hell they could even join a private server, send themselves fake gold, and have a whole video to "prove" delivery was made. Nowhere in the game does it say what server you're on.

Lucky for me the seller was too dumb to do that and I was able to use a different account to catch the seller admitting they would refund me. It was pretty much the only reason I got my money back.

After this entire horrible experience I was looking forward to sending a nice negative feedback to the seller but low and behold you are not able to leave feedback on cases like this. The seller gets no punishment for these actions. They're still advertising gold selling on playerauctions. Their feedback is unscarred by my experience. They can continue to go on and scam people and Playerauctions doesn't give a [censored].

How many sellers out there are scamming people and getting away with it on a site that claims to be 100% secure? We'll never know because they don't allow you to tell your story on their site.

Avoid them at all costs. ALL COSTS!

On another note, anyone know where I can order 50k gold from someone who won't try to [censored] me? $300 is a lot of money to be gambling away. Think I'm going to just order in small increments so if someone does decide to screw me they won't get away with much :-/

I once requested a refund on a toon I bought.. because the seller did not deliver account info for 3 days after canceling the order and requesting refund it took another 3 weeks to get my 250$ back, when I contacted them on live chat all the guy said was "Tough you canceled order" I then proceeded to ask "So you won't give me MY money back for at least 3 weeks?" He then answered yes I'm afraid so.. Terrible site.
