As ive been looking over threads the past few months I see alot of people avoiding trades because the buyer/seller doesnt want to give out the real armory with a name etc.

Im curious why this is, because unless Blizzard can prove that its YOU selling the account or trying to, they arent going to ban it on a simple report. Even if a Blizzard rep was doing some kind of undercover thing here on the website, I could link anyones armory, even a random one, they arent going to ban it just because I linked it and said I was the owner.

So my question is, are the people uneducated about that kind of stuff or am I personally missing something. If im missing a reason please elaborate.

Everyone has always done this, it's more of a scapegoat to be "safer". I've always been iffy on it, and generally would post my Armory freely (but hide it using the url function).

Giving your character armory over the internet is about as dangerous as walking the street sunday morning at 6:00 AM.
In Compton, right? lol

For me its just a personal prefrence to hide my toons Real Armory link when posting threads, gives me a tiny feel of security. Also, you don't get people logging into the game and whispering "Hey, this is <insert MMO name>, I would like to trade accounts with you".

Its fair to hide em in your thread using an anonymous profiler, but its just nuts to refuse to show them when asked over IM, Blizzard is not doing any witch hunter for the average guy selling his account.

PS: at 6 am gangster are sleeping.
