Any way to recall WoW gold?

I've got a friend (no really, it's not me) who was looking to sell off some of his wow gold. Before he let me buy some, he sold a few hundred thousand to a chinese buyer. Naturally, the paypal recall came shortly after and he was left broke with little gold left.

Is there any way for him to get the gold back? Any way he can claim to blizz that his account was hacked or something?

Blizzard would have to see If he was Indeed hacked.
If He used his Regular I.P address chances are they will see it and say he wasn't hacked

and back track that he was gold selling instead

(and here I just started reading about how Diablo 3 will have a real world money auction house or some such, I'm sure he's feeling the sting of irony from that one)
