Announcing Trade Guardian and Credit Cashouts

Not Recently Bumped
i think %12 fee is too much. if i want to buy/sell account or item about 300$=37500 credits. I need to pay 4500credits=36$ for fee..

Standard MM fees on any site range from 10% to 20%. You will not find any system that takes 100% of the risk for less than 10% fee.

Lets take this example.

Average transaction = $100
Average chargeback = 5% (1 out of 20 transactions)

$100 x 20 = $2000 in sales

Our fee is 12% = $240 for Epicnpc

1 charge back we lose $100
Profit = $140

In this example you can see out of 20 transactions we would only make about $140. If instead of 1 chargeback there are 2, we drop down to $40 profit. 3 chargebacks we are losing money.

Our system is new and so we do not have must data on what the chargeback percentage will be. The fee is completely dependent on this percentage. We will evaluate the system after we have 6 months worth of data and if we can lower the fee, we will.

If you think 12% is too high, you do not have to use the system. However you also receive no protection and no guarantee you will receive the item or that the buyer won't dispute the payment after.

12 % is standard
If you sell often , you ll get dispute/charge quite often.
EPICNPC is providing risk free payment

PA charges about same %%% too
OPSKINS charges similar rate too

However, i think 5% chargeback is over-estimated if you require everyone to send in their IDs before purchase.

The 5% might be an over-estimate, but we've only been live for 6 weeks, so it's much to early to tell what the actual percentage will be. We'll re-evaluate after 6 months since that is the time limit for Paypal chargebacks.

EpicMember is required to use Paypal, so that requires phone verification and a verified Paypal account. ID is not required to purchase Epicnpc credits with Paypal.

Hi guys

i just want to share my experience on this, i've tried to persuade my clients to use trade guardian. so far from 5 clients (i picked them randomly both member of epicnpc and non member) none of them wanted to use it, i dont know what the exact reason is. While they all have a verified paypal account and confirmed credentials (checked by me personally), they still prefer not to use it.

Because trade guardian is a "tool" to be used by both the seller and the buyer, maybe there is something else you can do to attract more buyers to use it. just an example, if they use trade guardian for the very first time with a trade value of more than 100USD they also get to become a member of epicnpc.

I always persuade my clients to make an epicnpc account in the first place if they dont have one. its a hit miss.. 2 from 10 did make an account here.
More members means more chance for all of us to get some income (with less risk) from our community.

Regards,

This would defeat the purchase of upgrades. Upgrades mean we have verified a users info and have conducted a manual review of their account. If we gave upgrades from simply using TG, then it would create a way for scammers to abuse the system. For example a scammer can make 2 accounts, make a $100 TG sale with himself then get a upgraded account.

But I understand your point, we'll consider adding an incentive for first time TG users to make it more appealing to members.

Can I upload credits via bitcoin and withdraw them right away via paypal?

so what happens if i want to cash out and i'm a regular member? i cant do it even though i received credits in a trade with this new system?

:/ should keep human middlemans.. it feels more "safe"

I've used Trade Guardian over the last couple weeks 4 times (soon to be a 5th). I just wanted to say - I love the service! I was selling gold on a game/server known for high amounts of scamming and having the admins pose as gold buyers/sellers to ban your account. Using Trade Guardian I was able to weed out the scammers so easily - they were unwilling to upgrade their forum account and pre-purchase credits for the trade.

When the buyer willingly upgraded his account (only a minimum $3 purchase) - I had a 100% success rate of making a legit sale.

My one concern/issue is the step for the seller marking the trade as "Item Sent". Trade Guardian tells me to mark it that way BEFORE I send the item. I understand that is to lock the credits in to the trade. I just hope it's made clear to the buyer that it's marked as "Item Sent" when it's really "Attempting to send item". Maybe this step could be made a bit more clear - removing any mention of "Item Sent" since it's really the step the seller should begin the sending process.

Thank you for the suggestion. The words used on the buyer's side are different, but we'll update it so it's more clear to the seller also. I'm glad you've had success with the Trade Guardian service :)

I just had my first experience wit TG, so there is a fee for using TG, i as seller didnt see anything about fee anywhere in TG transaction, who is paying it, how much is it, i think this is important information for me to see as seller. Also for me there was button "sending" and there was explanation for it "before you deliver the goods press sending button", this explanation makes it feel like there is 1 more step to do in TG transaction, ie not sent, then sending and then sent. I think the button should be changed to "deliver/delivered" and explanation to something more suitable.

Currently the fee is only displayed to the person creating the TG transaction. We will display to both users in the next update.

We will also be updating the "sent" step so there's no confusion.
