Once the price was agreed, I provided transfer details and the buyer provided a screenshot of a Wise transfer for the amount to me.
I wanted to wait until the money was with Wise so that it could not be cancelled, which would have taken 2-4 days.
Buyer convinced me I was being unreasonable and should provide the account details immediately as he had done his bit. I agreed as I am a first-time seller here and he has good feedback on the account.
7 days go by, Wise have still not received the money. Buyer keeps telling me money has gone from his account. Meanwhile I help him with advice on clearing content on the account.
Buyer suggests we use PayPal, I agree and urge him to make payment. I provide my Paypal link, as well as request the money from the e-mail he provides.
No payment is made, I wait
Buyer ghosts me and no longer responds on EpicNPC or Discord
When I say I have no choice but to report this, buyer writes message on EpicNPC saying he will give the account back in the meantime
No account details are provided, no further contact since.
19 days have gone by since we agreed price, 11 days since last Discord contact, 8 days since he said he would give the account back on EpicNPC.
I have sent multiple messages saying I have no choice but to dispute this, while giving him many opportunities to make payment as a resolution without further issue.
Particularly painful as he made me feel like I was an anxious crazy person for being sceptical of him.
