I bought an account from Hellish where he was at that time a moderator on EpicNpc which gave me relief.. he posted this account on discord and said its for sale and he knows the OO and that he sold from him 2 accounts..

He gave me all information details on the account, yesterday I got an email that my login credentials were changed.. including password and emails.. the account had more than 3B worth of gear..

Other details / notes:

I received an email saying that my info has changed (without my prior permission) and as soon as I got the email and tried to login.. all info was changed.

I would appreciate your help guys as I have been a returning customer for EpicNpc..

Again, saw the email and got right on. I messaged eternal on discord.
1. I stated this last time, epicnpc should not allow the sale of 11 accounts. I sold accounts way back, when I came to epic I transitioned away from that because I felt that even profiting $100 on someone else’s work was wrong, thus I moved to middlemanning ($50 flat). I felt I had a good grasp on security of accounts and who I could trust from my years of experience. That slowly proved inaccurate. I saw people with high rep recall accounts, get banned and recall more. I saw original owners I spoke with (I only EVER dealt with OOs so I could go to the source) recall or attempt to recall accounts and block me. I prided myself one having very few incidents. But, when I saw a few of the people I trusted get banned, I quit (evidenced by my inactivity and denial of requests to help others sell their accounts).
2. Neoex has thrown my name out to people we know mutually from being in the market for years, people, in some cases, who lost accounts that Neo sold them (at a profit) but because they never posted the loss here, he acts like it doesn’t happen with his accounts. I first tried to vet as well as I could, but when I saw that was even needless I did the ethical thing and quit. I have 10+ accounts I am the original owner of, 5 of which are well over $1,000 in value...none of those have been recalled. So people taking Neo at his word and even considering the fact I’d EVER be involved in a recall are having the wool pulled over their eyes.
3. An original owner can recall an 11 account at anytime, period. Neo just had a dispute that he won against a guy who had rep and had worked with both of us, he recalled an account from Ariana and wasn’t even the ****ing original owner (SE let him use the previous emails, info he knew from owning the account at one point. I have the emails from se and Ariana can attest to what Bax did- he is now banned). My point is that the market is not safe. I quit when it became evident (when solid people let the drug that is 11 rule their conscious and made bad decisions).
I will reach out to the OO if he can give me the SE ID and I’ll send eternal my middleman commission. He is still playing multiple accounts I middlemanned for him, but like Neoex, you never know where the bad apple lies.

I had my account deactivated and logged out of skype and discord completely. I’ve had request to help sell and have learned of recalls in the time I’ve been gone. I did what I felt was best, I quit doing it. People trusted my rep and name and I valued that, but the element of nostalgia and others lack of empathy became evident so I’m doing my part and not dealing with these accounts anymore.

I’ll do what I can, but I refuse to put out money above the middleman fee as I did last time. If that is going to be your shortsighted and inadequate resolution to your mistake of allowing the sale of something that can’t be fully secured (no matter how vetted or reputable the seller as my experience shows) then I’ll take the ban and distance myself further from this.

I know that this is a risky business that's why I only dealt with trusted mods from EpicNpc. Just put yourself in my shoes, I invested more than 1500$ on top of the 450$ in this account ($1950), and what really made a relief is that you trusted Juston and you had good experience with him before.

I would really appreciate leaving Neoex from this thread as he is not involved in this (and I had more than 4+ accounts with him previously worth 1500$ each and none got recalled) and I am not saying that he doesn't get accounts recalled but just stating my experience with him.

Anyhow, I really appreciate your help, just as you don't feel like paying more than 50$.. I don't feel like loosing 1950$ from someone you stated you trust him.

+ Edit: I'll give credit where credit is due, I personally had 4 accounts from you Hellish.. 2 are very good and safe so far, 1 got recalled and the other one im seeing some activities but not confirmed so far so i'll stop until I see something confirmed.

Stop playing dumb neo, these “business deals gone bad” are something you have much more experience with. I was sick of hearing you associate my name with people who recalled accounts. I was giving context and clearing that up. I have nothing else to contribute and will work to figure out what happened with eternal. I responded because I was reactivated and I don’t shift responsibility for being a middleman and trying my best to create the most secure environment I could for trade. I saw that was not feasible at all any longer with this game (even when some of the best people did shitty things) therefore I quit.

So he asked me that April 23rd and I don’t have notifications on discord and I don’t get on but once a month maybe. As stated, I’ve ignored people asking for help to sell and anything related to 11.

Trying my hardest not to butt in, but anything in regards to "account buying" is and will never be 100% secure and safe, not just FFXI. It's a leap of faith when you are the buyer for an account. Majority if not "all" games, most OO are able to recall their accounts if they renege down the road. There are some who are sincere in their sales and some just aren't. There are good and bad apples.

@DigBig that's why I only deal with trusted mods verified from this site, to have an adequate reassurances... with trusted people accounts are highly safe.. and I gave an example of Neo, where I still have 4+ accounts more than 4 years and no issues.

I hope this does not derail and just focus on Hellish and myself, as he is trying his best to get it resolved.

I am getting many bots claiming that they are hellish, but it was very weird that they DM'ed as the same time as u did..

Anyhow, I will only deal with this scam through this platform from now and on, so I don't give any room for scammers who are trying to taking advantage of this.

No, gathering info and can contact SE Monday. I work all day, each weekday so my timeframe is minimized. Off today and Monday so I plan to get stuff emailed. The reality is, even if he gets access the OO can do it again. From what I experienced with bax recalling, it bounced back once then an ID was required. What are we thinking in the event the account cannot be recovered?

I am pretty sure at some point they will require and ID.. until SE put a note under the account, where they would never reset the password unless its accompanied with a photo ID.. assuming - if correct - Juston isn't the OO, is there anyway to get hold of the OO?

Ya I did. I posted the screens above and sent them on discord. He was active on 11 and had had asked me a few months ago if I could “track down an account” I never read it or responded in April. Well, He must have recalled it and when you made me aware of it I sent him a message and he blocked me straight away

Who is Juston? Is he a member here? Please post a screenshot of the Paypal payment to him, make sure his email is visible.

MM provide a service, they are not held responsible for recalls because generally they have no ability to recall the account. This dispute should be against Juston, not Hellish.

Once I have more information about who Juston is, we can continue to investigate.

No one knows Juston except Hellish... at that time, a trusted active EpicNpc Mod indicated he fully secured the account and he has good experience with OO, and hes the only one with such history with him.

Should we want to investigate further, then it would be obviously with the one who secured the account and claimed responsibility which was the MM and he should support to resolve this issue himself, since the transaction was recommended and executed with his full supervision and responsibility.

I know Hellish over the past years of interaction with him and he's good guy honestly, but he should support to resolve this and not distant himself from time to time.

I’m not distancing myself, you know what I’m doing to resolve this. I’ll find his epicnpc name so he can be banned, but he blocked me on discord when eternal aka laststanding brought this to my attention. From what he and I discussed, I truly don’t feel like we have info to even recall it (like have the password reset, when SE doesn’t require an ID) the issue is, he was hoping to recover gil and items but those probably won’t be there. All the reasons you stated above are the reasons I don’t do this anymore. Like I said, I reached out to him and I’ll reach out to SE. I can even email that email you just provided and see if he give the gil and items back. Again, what you lost isn’t worth my reputation and $50.

Since there are no more updates and it does not appear Juston has an account here, there's nothing we can really do. MM are not responsible for recalls as they have no ability to prevent them or help recover the account. The MM responsibility is to make sure the exchange is successful, but they can't control what happens after.

I'm going to move this to Off-Site scammers since Juston isn't a member here.
