account hacked with auth :(

so i logged into my email this morning and i've got 2 emails saying my account has been banned for 72hrs for selling gold and that the pw has been reset, i clicked the link and reset the pw and then proceed to log in to see that the account now has a authenticator attached

I'm not the OO but i have had the account for like 5 months now... so im not sure if its a hacker or a OO.

anyway i havent rung blizz or dealt with anything like this since the new bnet system has gone in... so just wanted to know what the norm is nowdays with this kind of stuff with what info i need ect. ect.... i just want to be prepared when i ring up.

Call blizz and tell them to remove it because you got your account hacked and all that.

Typically if you got an email saying you're banned, then you were more than likely hacked.

You should really buy an auth for your account, it's only 6 bucks and it goes a very long way.
If you have an iphone or itouch you can get an app and it's a free auth.

Best of luck in recovering your account.

They'll ask your name, number you're calling from. Bnet email, orig account name, they'll do the whole "If I were to ask you what your SA is, what would you say" so have the SA and whatnot.

How'd it get hacked with an authenticator on it? Did you get keylogged?

Banned - Temp banned on another name for spam and made new account during that temp ban. This is against the rules. Please do not remake an account until your temp ban is up on rpg sellers in 11 days and then I can unban this one for you, -Hyk

After five months? Sounds like the OO started to miss playing WOW. That happens sometimes. If you bought from a middleman or seller that keeps records, then let them know what's up and ask them if they can talk to the OO.

Typically when an a account is banned and the user still has control of the email and info, but not the auth code it means he was keylogged and they put an auth on this account to stop him from logging back into his account.
He just needs to call blizzard with all the info and tell them he has been keylogged.
You should also be running some scans on your computer ASAP.

yeah it was deffiently a hacker because he got it a 72 hour suspension instantly for abuse of economy, probably sold all the gold or something. and no details were changed... just an authenticator put on.

anyway i havent rung yet, cause i have had exams or whatnot, probably ring tomorow.

but anyway, i tried to do a authenticator disasociation from bnet and it asked me for SSN and **** like that, I wont need info like that when i ring up will I?

You shouldn't be telling anyone your SSN let alone be putting it into a website, they won't ask your for you SSN if you call.

im from australia so i dont even have a SSN lol, i was just wondering if they would ask, because it requires you to enter a SSN when u try to disasociate the authenticator via the bnet website.
