Hi there. I recently sold my World of Warcraft account. I withdrew the funds from Paypal to my bank account, and all was well. Two and a half weeks later and most of that money spent, I receive an e-mail from Paypal stating that there is a claim from the person who I sold the account to stating they "never recieved the PSP" I was supposed to sell them.
Now, I'm hoping that this is just some accident on their part and that they meant to put a claim on another transaction, but so far it looks grim for poor Harhoa. My attempts to contact the buyer have gone ignored so far. I have eight days left to 'resolve or respond to' the claim this person has made against me. Sadly, I put my want for money before my brain and completed most of this transaction over AIM; I fear that if I attempt to dispute the claim I won't be able to prove that I gave him what he asked for, especially since the claim is for an unsent PSP, not any type of account.
The money isn't what bothers me. I understand I can just recall the account if I don't hear from him and end up having the funds reversed, but currently my bank account funding is under the amount that Paypal will require to even it out.
My questions are:
Will I have to get that money into my bank account ASAP or will Paypal give me some leeway?
When/if I have to recall my account what would I have to do to make sure the account is no longer compromised?
If the 'buyer' wins the dispute, will I be charged any additional fees besides the original amount of the transaction?
Pardon my noobishness, and thank you for any help you can offer in this matter.
