*Update: This account is VIP 10.
Now I know many people might think that somehow that means the account is losing a lot of benefits from higher VIP levels (e.g. VIP 15), but trust me, I've done the maths on this one. The VIP level basically does not matter at all. In fact, to say that VIP benefits are overrated would be an understatement. Why? Let me explain.

There are only two things that are important for account progression:

• 1. Player skill/effort (how good the player is at competing in events/how hard they try)
• 2. Account strength (how meta-suited the account is for the latest version of the game. Having a bunch of random off-meta heroes 5* + 30 9f E80 does almost for instance)

If you want to make the claim that high VIP somehow significantly boosts the progression, feel me to name me the perks that actually make a quantifiable impact on account progression.

Below are some common points raised:

1. Lab coin benefit:
If you want to argue that the extra lab coins you get significantly boost your progress, you have to actually calculate how much more you get and what you can actually buy with that.

Even completely f2p, I can already buy out the reds chests for lab coins, buy dim sigs for my dims whenever needed and have 5* Wukong, so suppose you get 50% more lab coins, what else do you actually plan to buy? An extra 5 rare heroes every month? Some extra copies of A-tier heroes you already have at 5*? Do you see how ridiculous the proposal that the lab coin bonus is a deal breaker actually is now?


2. VIP codes:
If you want to say that "oh VIP 14+ accounts get free codes", let me break that down for you. You get about 10 scrolls every month... Yeah that's literally a maximum of 2700 diamonds PER MONTH

(that's if you buy scrolls at standard price (which literally no one does past like ch35). The net benefit is practically negligible.

I would argue VIP level is almost useless for progression if you decide to be f2p/a low spender after purchasing the account

There are several VIP 16+ players in my server that I easily overtook as a f2p after they stopped whaling (spending like <100$ a month now)
the reason why they can't keep up is not that they are not high enough VIP level, but because their active income is not enough to keep up
