ZERO tolerance for this practice !

Hey,
This is a request to change or add a rule to Epicnpc forum for this practice: someone register multiple accounts, by using different PCs and uses the alts to spread misinformation in the competitor threads, thus gaining more chances of getting customers in his clean thread ( as the rest of us don't bullshit in someone elses thread ! ) This way, we lost a lot of potential customers that read the perpetrator lies and false information !

It's the 2nd time this <removed> ( mmorpgsell) hijacks my thread and spread misinformation and he have done the same in another thread, to someone else, that had a Sticky thread. He's obviously affiliated with another seller ( a competitor ) and tries to gain an advantage by doing this. This guy is at the THIRD such attempt and is still not banned !
Why is he not banned from the first offense as it costs us dozens, if not hundreads of dollars if someone reads his lies before the moderators are able to delete it ? It's worse than a low amount scam as we can lose, for example, one 1-55 pleveling because of the fake comments and that worth ~$100 alone !

Regardless if he's affiliated or not with someone else or if this can be proven or not, such a practice is simply unacceptable and should be banned FROM THE FIRST ATTEMPT. What would happen if all of us would ask friends or create clones and start spreading misinformation in competitors threads ? Can you even imagine the chaos and the money lost ?

Either the moderators or the rules themselves are way too soft to this kind of practices. Let us know, in this therad, if you're gonna do anything about it, as some of us invested hundreads of $$$ in our accounts, sticky threads and so on and deffinitely don't want such retards and practices around.

Because first offense is always an infraction. Sometimes they are too lazy or dont know they have to register phone.}
This is no conspiracy.
Do use discriminatory remarks like retard and cursing.

The biggest reason why people do this is because they are unable to post a thread themselves, due to not having a verified phone number. Some don't even know why they can't post a thread. There are some other reasons as well.
We can't know why someone is doing this, and thus can't ban them on their first attempt.
An infraction is given for the first offense and a temp ban if it continues.

If someone continuously advertises the same website this way with multiple accounts, then it can be banned on sight. But you need to properly note that in your report.
A report like "Advertises the same website from multiple accounts - <link to a post or account where it was done before>" - perma ban.
But a report like "This fu**** keeps posting sh** all over no ban omg" - infraction

mmorpgpowerlevel is a banned user (mmorpgpowerlevel.com) that spammed our site last year. You're correct that he's now trying to ruin competitors threads by posting fake claims and he's been banned.


As stated above, we will give a warning first, then more infractions if someone continues to make accusation without proof. This is already a rule, we do not allow scam accusations. A dispute thread must be created instead with proof posted.

If you believe the claim is false, you can report the post and we'll remove it. There's no way to automate this process as most claims are legit, they just don't know they have to create a dispute thread.

For those rare cases where it's a competitor making false claims, they'll be banned as it was in this instance.
