My DK's primary spec was tanking, but I recently put together a DPS set for arenas and it works just fine. It will be easy to upgrade if you were to join a raid guild as an offtank and mainly DPS. There are literally only THREE real tanking upgrades I could get at this point in the game.

*Some quick info - If you have read up on DKs you know that currently Unholy is a great taking spec. I currently tank with a 2H, but have TWO of the best DK tanking 1handers waiting to be used for Frost tanking.
Inevitable Defeat (2H) - Best Tanking Weapon in the Game
Broken Promise x2 (!!!) - BEST DK tanking 1hander currently

*This is more of an arena set as I haven't pve'd much as dps, but either way it can be easily improved.
