Okay I traded a guy named Moe for his paladin, Dacon. I then traded Dacon to someone else. Then this guy bought Dacon, and got scammed, and now hes threatening to sue me and all this other stuff. I'm not really even involved, I didn't do anything. Please help me out.

I was in the same situation not too long ago...I traded an account and it got recalled by the original owner and I recalled it and then the original owner called in and got the account locked and the guy I traded to wasnt upset at all...he understood what went down and I gave him his account back and were all happy

If all he has is your AIM he can't do [censored], even if he knows everything about you, trading \ buying and selling of virtual goods is against the law (according to blizzard at least) The FBI is hardly going to get involved with a 12 year old saying he got scammed from his WoW account

We all know selling WoW accounts is against policy so you cannot get prosecuted for that. The problem is/would be if a person knowingly and willfully misled someone. For example, if Cheazer had any knowledge whatsoever that the account was not in good standing, etc... and still proceeded with the sale that would constitute misrepresentation and that can be prosecuted. As I said, this is just an example as I do not know either party involved.

On a side note, you spent $625 on a Vanguard beta account? Are you nuts. You do realize that beta will be over within the next few months and you won't have a single thing toi show for it don't you. Wow, I got a bridge if you want /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

p.s. The IFCC will investigate and the FBI will get involved if "ANY" fraud is found to have occured. Does this mean they will come after you right away? No, they have more impartant thigns to do, bu tthey will eventually look into it. Normally they will just turn their evidence over to whatever local authority is there and let them finish it. Moral of the story, even if it is just some 12 year old complaining about being scammed, if it involves RL money it can involve RL authorities.
