3) in general, gear with Life on Hit, Resist All, Increased Attack Speed... gear that i won't be upgrading for a long while.

Fire Resist stacking monk, looking for exceptional pieces of gear. I'm currently 3+ attacks per second and 3,000+ LOH... so you get an idea of "exceptional." your pieces must be upgrades to mine to interest me. links to weapons i use are a few posts above.
