Well, I copied the bitpay url on the 3$ plan and it told me it would cost 14$. With all the fees btc has I can understand but I had 30CAD on my wallet and now I end up at 0,00 after buying the upgrade. Something is wrong.

Yes, this was reported a few days ago and we are waiting for a response from Bitpay our bitcoin processor.

I don't understand why it's showing you $14 (not including the btc fee), but our payment logs shows we received 0.000060 ~ $3. I don't understand where that additional $11 is coming from or going.

This is a recent change so I'm not sure if this is a bug from Bitpay or some change they made, but we're aware of the issue and will try to have it fixed as soon as we know more about it.

We received $3, not $14. I have still not received a reply from Bitpay about this issue, so I do not know what the cause is. I can't say what we'll do until I know more information.

I received a reply from Bitpay with these links

Basically aside from the normal mining fee that everyone pays, Bitpay also has it's own "Network fee" this is the extra cost you see in your purchase.

When someone makes a purchase the payment goes to Bitpay first, then to us, so 2 transfers. The first transfer the buyer pays the mining fee, but for the 2nd Bitpay has to pay it. Since the mining fees are expensive, Bitpay is passing that cost to the buyer also and this is why the prices are inflated when you make a purchase.

You can see here since December the fees are over $8 and have been recently averaging about $20.

Normally the network fee is tiny and so the buyer doesn't even notice it, but since bitcoin fees have been high it's very noticeable. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about this until the fees go back to normal levels.
