WoW merging question and real name

Hey there.

If i buy a friends unmerged WoW account, is it possible for me to merge his account into mine even though the real names are way different? The country and city of residence is the same though.

Anyone else had any experience (good or banned) with this sort of thing?

yes you can merge the unmerged account to your bnet. it would just show up as 2 separate accounts both under your name.

i would personally make a new battle.net in my name then merge it incase you decide you want to sell one of them later down the road.

Speaking from experience you could merge them and it would go undetected. But if something comes up, and something did for me and you have to call Blizzard it will throw up a red flag and they wil more then likely freeze the account until some sort of identification is submitted. Would be much more safe to just make another account with that name.
