Why Doesn't The Inbox Save Sent Messages

As the title says...seriously, its a major pain in the *** and opens up the door for shady stuff. It helps to have a record of exactly what was said. Can this please get changed?

from what i see i can see all messages i sent via the sent messages tab. and you can store up to 1,000 messages in your inbox

you gotta pick the option before you click send.

You can set it to save PMs by default on your Account Settings page.

My Account > General Settings
"Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default"

Think it should be set automatically.
