I have a YouTube channel focusing on entertainment from the 1970’s-90’s
Specifics:
Active for 2 years, partner verified. Monetization enabled. Not associated with any network.
Playback CPM ~ $10
Roughly 12 videos. Almost all clips of popular entertainers from that era
1,500,000+ views; 600 subscribers.
Category Comedy
Gross revenue over $3000 .
Monthly averaging $300 income
If you are interested, PM me and I'll send you link to the channel.
Since people are interested, I'd include some additional information:
Content:
I’ve been building channels like this since 2012. This channel culls the best entertainment videos that Youtube lets you monetize w/out any strikes.
Some people erroneously call these ‘stolen’ videos which is a pejorative. It is not original content, but u/l old VHS tapes that are hard to find anywhere else.
Ranked: C+/B- on Social Blade. I have been ranked higher. Just depends.
The catch: There is no catch. To earn a minimum of $100/month you can spend maybe 10-15 mins a week clearing the spam folder for comments to approve/delete.
In this case, yes. Money falls out from the sky.
The Great Part – There’s many great parts. Here are top two
1) The channel works on a diff model – how ranked you are in search. You don’t have to promote the channel or even the video. Just the topics. And the media routinely does that for you resulting
in a spike. For example, PBS often does retrospectives on entertainers/music from yesteryear. When they cover an artist on one of your videos, the number pop.
2) You remain completely anonymous. Sure, there’s a lot of people who enjoy making videos every day and putting themselves out there. But, most of us do not.
I've spent a total of $10 on this channel (creating backlinks/stabilizing older video) and zero on advertising/adwords/facebook/word of mouth. It's just traditional keywording/tagging/producing content.
Since this is high quality content, the youtube algorithm finds it and promotes it for you – not just on YouTube, but on google
Answering criticism: No I don't think selling YouTube channels is a thing. But many people want to buy an already established youtube channel but rarely see anyone offering.
If you want to take over a proven business model this is your chance.
Why would anyone sell a guaranteed evergreen cash flow like this? The same reason why people take lump sum payments on lottery winnings. They want the cash now.
That’s why I’m selling anyway
