Where do I stand.

Hello,

I'm in a bit of a pickle, and would like to know what I should do, any help is appreciated. I purchased a Guild Wars account this month, for my girlfriend as she wanted to play the same game as me, So I come to a trusted and Verified legit seller from these forums, and have a chat, and the sale went OK. I paid in Euro as requested on Paypal, and i get the account. Its been used twice, I have an error while logging in, that it has been used for botting or other 3rd party software and is now permanently banned, I contact the seller and have no response, I have lost the account, as well as £43 GBP in Euro... I did not get this account banned myself as i Do not bot and don't know any software capable of doing so. Not to mention an unhappy girlfriend for progress she made on a new character.

Any Advice welcome,

I would need to know when you purchased it and what date it was banned.

If the ban was issued more than a week after you purchased it, then you have to prove it was the seller who botted on it. This can be done by creating a support ticket and trying to get them to tell you the date of the violation. Otherwise there's no way for me to know you didn't cause the ban.

There are multiple ban waves on GW2 in past several weeks. Both RMT and Botting ban. It`s really hard to prove the actual date of violation because before GW2 went months without bans before these current ban waves.

Hey guys thanks so much for your quick replies, all have been really helpful. The person I bought from, seems to have lost some accounts himself, with a skype status message saying "Epic Banwave on all accounts, Thank you Arena.net" I have not yet been able to speak with him, neither has he replied to my messages but i think i will just take this on the chin and buy legitimately next time.
