ever since the downtime upgrading to the new forums its like dead here? where did everyone go to trade and sell nowadays?
 
Everyone is either A) here, or B) still merging here, or C) finding out about the whole movement and starting to get back over, or D) starting to traffic over and creating new memberships.

Everything takes time, but it will work out. MD was over ten years old, so one month isn't a very great comparison.

mmm yeah hopefully, i mean the intial transition from MD to MMOBAY was fine, but then when it went down for like a week to upgrade the forums i think that lost alot of people.

anyway i hope people soon realise its all going good now and come back.
 
Just making a point: Average time to log into the new forums (ballpark it at 10 min for the internet disabled), so if it takes 10 minutes to come over there must be a reason why people aren't. I personally think a direct link is necessary from the old forums to the new, it's just stupid to keep it up.
 
Unless they go to other forums.... it's unfortunate but there is other competition out there. And maybe Markee should of taken things a little slower like maybe 4 weeks to announce this all was happening to give people a chance to move instead of throwing us into the ocean and expecting us to swim.

It is done and over with. Regardless of what people think or have to say on the matter, they did what they did because it made the most sense for them. That is really all their is to it.
 
The new VB forums are starting to get indexed by search engines and in the last 7 days search engine traffic has doubled. While still low compared to the UBB forums, I expect search engine traffic to continue to double every week or so until we are back to where the UBB forums were. I'd say it will take another 4-6 weeks. Yesterday we had the most traffic since the VB forums opened.
