When warning someone or something through an email send them a pm too+scammer thread

I just picked up multiple emails off of the email address that I used to sign up this account (one of my junk emails, because at the time I didn't want to use one of my real emails), and they were pretty serious things that I should have known when they were sent.

Just a thought... Would be nice to have got the PM's with these messages- I'm sure mods can see what I'm talking about.


On another note, I'm being told that people are not getting infractions for posting "helpful things" in scammer threads, last time I checked I was posting "post in template, post this post that" I understand there were points when I was trolling and getting infracted for it, but stop being a hypocrite and if you want people out of the scammer threads don't make it conditional.

Pretty sure that is extremely helpful and in no way trolling- I got an infraction for that

I had already reported this person multiple times for being a banned scammer and obviously it shouldn't take 2~ days to get someone banned. That is more so warning the community before the rule change of "Posting a link to the scammer thread only"

meh, I've been posting a lot in the scammer threads when I guess I'm not s'pose to. (I already knew that) - I just do it to help speed along the scammer thread, i.e. if Mike asks X player for the URL of the trade thread, instead of them playing cat and mouse I'll go ahead and link it for them. Tbh, I feel as if the rule needs to be changed a bit, if you are helping provide evidence or simple things (such as the trade URL) then it shouldn't be a problem. I did screw up on one post and Mike did call me out on it, and since then I have posted...on that scammer thread.

Additionally, I think a lot of people take you the wrong way, Sean. Sometimes it feels as if you are talking with a "sarcastic attitude" when I don't think you mean too, it's just the way you type...(something you can't really change either) That's my opinion anyway.

On a side note, what kind of e-mails and who told you people weren't getting infractions?..

And I think receiving a PM when you get an e-mail is a rather good idea, however that may be hard to implement since your e-mail isn't a part of the website. (i.e. if its @gmail.com, it belongs to Google)

I don't think much of it because I can take a "small diss" but you insulted the OP before asking to ban the scammer. Let alone, when you said

It's almost as if you're trying to insult the mods for not being on in 24 hours. Mods have lives too and even still, I'm sure they need to do their own "background check" to make sure he is a scammer...

The first quote you shouldn't have gotten an infraction in my opinion.

both of those infractions have already expired so theres nothing to remove. While I wouldn't have given you one on the first example, the second was warranted, that statement was 0% helpful and last I checked 19 hrs =! 2 days.

Yes, but I'm sure if I didn't have that one infraction I wouldn't have been banned for a month because I only had that one point... And I'm sure I wouldn't be in the situation I am now.


The more serious of those two emails was actually sent almost a week ago, which I just happened to be checking all my random emails (This is the first time I've logged into that email in almost a month)
