I was scammed by someone recently, I know, I was a dumb [censored] who was selling for the first time and I thought I went through all the checks. He basically did the good old charge back after he paid. I didn't give him anything until the transaction when through and once I gave him all my information he just disputed the charge and right now its under review by paypal.
But, I have talked with paypal 4 times and might have a chance to actually win the claim. Also contacted Blizzard through email(because it happened late Friday and their Customer service left for the weekend.)
I know 2 of his email accounts.(the one he registered with blizzard while stealing my account and the one he sends email to me) So I emailed him to ask him why he did what he did.
His response:
<span style="color: #FFFF00">"You tried to steal from me. You will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."</span> Ok, BS answer.
I also received later in the day an email sent to me from Blizzard saying my account was trying to be transferred but couldn't be because the email he(me basically) was trying to use was not registered as the original email address when I started the account. It said he would have to have access to the old registered email address.
While all this was happening I have been talking with Paypal and filling out forums with Blizzard. What I have been doing I think has helped because today I got these 2 emails from him again:
<span style="color: #FFFF00">"What account? I'm not sure what you're talking about? Someone hacked into my account. Who are you and what were you thinking you were getting from me?"</span>
<span style="color: #FFFF00">"Paid what? Please call me at ###-###-####. Sorry if I wrongfully blamed you, but it seems you were had by someone who got into my account and tried to use my identity to pay for something from you I guess? I'm not sure? Call me."</span>
I actually think Blizzard has temporarily locked my account because of my last email I sent them last night and now he can't log in because he has not played on my characters today according to Armory.
I am not going to fall for his [censored] and won't call him because I think he is lying but I do I have a question.
I think I will get my account back but I also have a pending transaction on paypal right now that I could actually win from talking with them and the way a described the situation.
Should I feel bad if I actually win and take his money while at the same time getting my account back?
If I do get my account back I am not going to try and sell it again even though I am done playing the game but just wondering what some of you would do? I was dumb for getting scammed and will have to be more careful next time.
