You can bump your thread each 6 hours, bump is to bring up your thread at top but until next bump (6 hours later) the thread probably be at the end of the thread listing page depending on what section.
There is a bar above the first post that tells you exactly when you are allowed to bump again. It's so that people can't spam bump to have their thread at the top whenever they want.
